Cultural Tour 10: Support Black Businesses

This months Sister Cities Cultural Tour is a virtual tour of local black-owned businesses, restaurants and non-profits in Southeast San Diego and a non-profit in City Heights! Please join us this holiday season and think about putting your food dollars, your holiday shopping dollars and your business dollars toward these businesses in our Sister Cities!

View our Directory here on Sister Cities Website, with a summary about each and a link to help you virtually explore, learn more and perhaps find a way to channel some of your holiday spending and giving in our Sister Cities.

We are coordinating this with the following big shopping/giving days and throughout the month of December.

  • Black Friday 11/27
  • Small Business Saturday 11/28
  • Giving Tuesday 12/1

The goal of our cultural tours is to help people get to know these culturally rich, community-first and tightly knit neighborhoods in San Diego.  They are under-served in economic development and racial equality and we can address that in many ways. Putting our dollars into these Communities is one easy way to support the economies of our Sister Cities. Covid has presented challenges and we thought this would be a fun and festive way to get our whole community of Sister Cities Project friends to learn about, shop, give and spread the word about these amazing communities and the businesses and non-profits who help them thrive. Here’s the directory link again: Please join us!
