When I started Sister Cities Project, this was the vision—a bold, transformative effort to connect affluent and underserved communities, fostering equity and unity. After 4 years of overcoming countless obstacles, hard work, and the incredible efforts of our team and supporters, we’ve made it happen.

Here’s a Press Release announcement about our recent Proclamation by local San Diego Government recognizing our groundbreaking partnerships formalized to build equity across San Diego County.

This moment is monumental. It’s about more than just partnerships—it’s the beginning of a new model for truly equitable communities. Equity impacts every aspect of our lives, whether we realize it or not. And inequity affects us all. This is about *US*.

We can no longer afford to sit back and just watch. Change requires action, and this is your chance to be part of something bigger. Our commitment to making equity a reality in America has never been stronger. But we know there will always be resistance to change.

That’s why we need you. If you believe equity matters, join us. Together, we *CAN* make this change. It’s easy to think of Sister Cities Project as an organization (it is a 501 (c) (3) non profit), but in our mission, we are all Sister Cities Project. This is about all of us.

Among the many ways you can join our movement, our work depends on funding from individuals and corporations to expand on this work across San Diego and other regions state and nationwide. If you are considering a tax deductible contribution before the end of this year, and you believe that equity is important, please join us and Donate Here to one of our Equity Funds.

To everyone who joined our community conversations this year, volunteered your time, donated to our various initiatives to spotlight equity or are just getting to know us, we wish you a happy holiday season. Thank you for being part of our movement.
