This year for Giving Tuesday we are launching a new (Eco)Exchange™ program which aims to strengthen the bond between our Sister Cities partnerships of City Heights and Encinitas and Southeast San Diego and Solana Beach/Del Mar/Carmel Valley. The program will also further our mission of fostering understanding and connectivity between people from very different backgrounds and communities, ultimately working to break down barriers and promote economic prosperity and equity throughout the region. What’s more, this (Eco)Exchange™ program offers a fantastic opportunity for more residents from our sister cities’ communities to make a difference themselves by simply signing up to become a host and enlist friends to participate in a culturally rich and engaging guided experience!
Friendship Outings hosts will be asked to complete the following activities:
Take your friends to a designated restaurants for lunch or dinner in one of our Sister Cities from now until Giving Tuesday, November 28th. Restaurant options will be sent to your email after sign up.
Have your camera phones ready! Make sure to capture the beauty, charm, and essence of your experience with photos while there.
Share your photos along with a write-up/testimonial on your personal social media profiles. Important: Make sure to add #FriendshipOutings and #SisterCitiesOutings to your write-up/testimonial so that we can also share it in the corresponding Facebook community group and our other Sister Cities Project Social Media pages.
Make a group donation of any amount to Sister Cities Project for Giving Tuesday to help sustain this impactful programming.
