Happy New Year to our community and supporters. In the 50+ years since Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, countless organizations and individuals have been inspired to create a world where everyone can thrive equally. Every year, many of us recommit ourselves to this goal.
I recently wrote to a group of philanthropists about Sister Cities Project. I am sharing that document here today, as we recommit to racial equality in 2024. To honor Dr. King this holiday, I would like to ask you to please take a few minutes to read this, and consider your part in helping to make our vision a reality.
With our actions, we honor Dr. King’s legacy. Sister Cities Project works to cultivate allies who are passionate about healing the relationship between black and white people in America. We don’t need policies or laws to do this. We can simply take a step, as neighbors and friends, to create new relationships between black and white people.
“Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability but comes through continuous struggle.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Please join us to continue the journey in 2024!
